Locality Profiles

Locality Profiles
It is important that the NLSP has access to quality of life information at electoral ward and parish level. NLSP therefore commissioned Communities Count to develop Ward Profiles and Parish level summaries in 2004.

Communities Count have attempted to describe the place, the people and the quality of life in each area. There are two profiles for each ward. One is a detailed textual description, with some data tables and graphs. The other is a summary profile, which compares each ward's rankings within the local authority in graph form. The full ward profiles contain information on:

  • People & Communities
  • Land Use & Environment
  • Culture & Heritage
  • Economy & Employment
  • Health
  • Community Safety
  • Community involvement
  • Lifelong Learning
  • Housing & Services
  • Transport & Travel
  • Leisure and recreation
  • Social Care

Both profiles are available in PDF format and readers are welcome to copy and reproduce the information. Anyone wishing to do so should read the copyright section at the front of each profile first. The parish profiles are much briefer and give some socio economic information about the parish population.

Welcome to the Website for the North Lincolnshire

Strategic Partnership

The North Lincolnshire Strategic Partnership brings together the key providers of services from across North Lincolnshire to address the complex challenges needed to improve the quality of life for the communities of North Lincolnshire. The partnership provides a platform to discuss, debate and progress issues that will make a difference to the area.

To make sure we are doing what our communities feel is important we spent 2 years working with you to develop the Community Strategy for North Lincolnshire. This document was published in January 2003 and shows what community members feel are priorities for their areas. We now need to turn those priorities into action and we are currently working with our 7 Action Groups.

The Partnership Vision

"A place where people live in decent homes and safe neighbourhoods and have choices about their future. People will have the chance to learn, develop their skills and work in satisfying jobs. It will be possible to live healthy lifestyles and make use of a wide range of quality leisure and cultural facilities. We will make special efforts to improve conditions for the less well off people and places to ensure that the quality of life improves for everyone over the next 10 years"

The partnership recognises in their Community Strategy that the vision can not be achieved by any one organisation working alone. Success will only come if many organisations work together in a real partnership taking collective responsibility for change.

The North Lincolnshire Strategic Partnership brings together the vision, skills, resources and energy of the major players in North Lincolnshire to work together in partnership to achieve our vision.
